Appy days are here, be the first to play

October 1st, 2013 by Team Linkee

Have you ever wondered why the world didn’t end in 2012 as predicted by the Mayans? Because the Gods heard a Linkee app was coming out, that’s why. Yes folks, it was over a year ago that we promised everyone a Linkee app was on its way. Jump forward a year and the single player game is finally here. Well, almost here. ETA is end of October. It’s looking ace and should be great fun. And of course it means you can now get your Linkee fix on the move, on the toilet and on your own. Oh, and best of all it’s free and available on iOS and Android.

Pop over to PLAYLINKEE.COM/APP to see a sneak preview and be the first to play!

Scorched, but not toast.

August 29th, 2013 by Team Linkee

If you saw Dragons’ Den on Sunday you would have seen Team Linkee getting a mild roasting from the Dragons (See the clip here. The lift doors open on 30:46). But overall we think it would be fair to say it probably ended a draw. Yes we failed to convince them all that Linkee is ace and it can make money. But then again Duncan Bannatyne failed to convince us that £50,000 for 40% of our company and zero involvement on his part was a good deal.

So we left empty handed but not empty hearted. In fact, the reaction by the good folk of Britain to Linkee since the show aired has been amazing. If only you had all been Dragons!

Not only have we received loads of very supportive comments. Big thank you. But our site crashed because so many people visited, Amazon sold out (we’re the No1 game on the site at the moment) and loads of you wrote and sent in Linkees through our Linkee Maker . Just today we even popped up in the Metro (below).

Marvellous effort all round. Thanks to everyone for watching. Hope our ugly mugs didn’t put you off your Sunday dinner too much!

The Linkee adventure continues. Big Linkee Love.

Tris, Ben and Dean

Linkee Booster – Coming Soon

July 23rd, 2013 by Team Linkee

We’ve had loads of emails from people asking for more Linkee questions so we’ve decided to make a booster pack. Just like the mothership Linkee, Linkee Booster will contain lots of crowd-sourced questions. Unlike it’s bigger brother it won’t have any pencils, paper or rules. It’s purely more of the questions you love in a handy pack. It will be available only through our website in a few months.

To get ‘fame from your name in the game’ send your Linkees to tris@playlinkee.com (Hurry we are picking the Linkees to go in now)

Dinkee Linkee News

June 26th, 2013 by Team Linkee

Schools around the country have been writing Dinkee Linkees and sending them to us. Dinkee Linkee is a junior version of Linkee for 6 to 12-year-olds and should be on sale in the New Year. If you know anyone who would like a trial pack for their school please let Tris know. Every card submitted will go in the game with the child’s name and school on that card for the world to play.

Dinkee Linkee and Pocket Linkee.

March 26th, 2013 by Team Linkee

Two exciting new versions of Linkee are in development. Dinkee Linkee, which will be for kids aged 7 to 12, and Pocket Linkee, which is a mini pack with 121 new Linkees – perfect for trains, holidays, car journeys or as a booster pack for your mothership box. We are already working with a few schools to help write Dinkee Linkee but we need more help. If you are a teacher, know a teacher or have kids around the right age and would like to get involved, please get in touch. We’ll send you a taster pack to play and hopefully twist your arm into writing a few cards for us.

Linkee is a super-simple, shouty-out quiz game with a twist. The twist being you don’t win by answering the questions but by working out what the answers have in common. For example, if the answers were John, Paul, George and Ringo, the Linkee would be, The Beatles. Easy, eh?
